Richard Carter BVSc (Hons) MRCVS
Richard qualified as a veterinary surgeon from
Onderstepoort, South Africa in 1988, a postgrduate degree in Veterinary parasitology in 1992 and a varied career
in South Africa including general practice, state vet work in Zululand (vet to King Goodwill of the Zulus!), some
wildlife work, rabies eradication campaigns and lecturing, Richard decided to move to the U.K. where he has been working
as a small animal veterinary surgeon since 1998. Apart from small animal veterinary practice, he also has an interest
in oncology (cancers), surgery and clinical pathology.
Richard has Toast, an elderly long
haired tortie cat with attitude (hyperthyroid) and recently Ronnie a burmilla with long term problems who is proving
to be a bit of a monster in disguise. Rescue budgie, tropical fish and various others to house and feed make up the rest.
